Designer’s parameters:
- Budget of $8,000 to furnish entire house
- 30% must be recycled, re-
purposed or reused
I wanted to ground this new construction through the use of natural elements, like
drift wood, grape wines and rich colors in the fabrics and accessories.
Most of the furniture came from CORT resale furniture line (2801 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy).
Other pieces and accessories were from local peddlers malls, thrift and consignment stores which were freshen with paint, decoupage and stylized applications.
Even purchasing most of the furniture for this 3 bedroom/2bath home from CORT, I was about $1,000 under budget. This Home Show truly brought to light how one can achieve high style on a limited budget.
