is to enrich the lives of people in need

by making homes a more pleasant place for everyday living

Weekly, a band of fluctuating volunteers (I pop in whenever my schedule allows) gathers to create a thing of bounty and beauty in a few short hours. Everything from bedding to pots and pans, art to floral arrangements and chairs to crayons, is moved in, often times, up several flights of stairs.

Then the magic begins.

The group, with minimal instruction from Gerry, “leader of the pack”, moves smoothly from project to project, and room to room, slowly finding a proper place for all the donated furnishings. By day’s end, the family returns…gasps, smiles and sometimes tears are expressed as they tour their new surroundings.

Homeowners can donate furnishings to them.

They will not take clothing or Christmas decorations.
